AMETHYST

Amethyst is a mostly violet modification of the mineral quartz, which is one of the precious stones. Amethyst derives its name from the Greek word amethystos, which means "anti-intoxication". Namely, the ancient Greeks believed that wearing the stone protected against getting drunk from the wine.

Especially as a newcomer in the field of healing stones, one often encounters amethyst, as it combines many useful properties and versatile uses as a healing stone.

COLOR

The color of the amethyst has many variants and ranges from a light, almost pink, to a very dark violet. The color structure is very irregular.

HAPPEN

Even if the amethyst occurs in relatively many places in the world, it is mainly mined in Central Europe, South America and Africa.

USE

We all know amethyst as a popular and widespread gemstone, but its power as a healing stone is often underestimated. Hildegard von Bingen already described it as a healing stone against many diseases in her "Book of Stones".

Amethyst druses, which are available in countless sizes, are also used for so-called "energetic cleansing" and "charging" other healing stones, as they already have the necessary healing and cleansing properties for this.

EFFECT

The amethyst gives us inner peace and has a cleansing effect on our spirit. It can improve the ability to concentrate and thus help with difficult decisions, among other things. Due to the calming effect on nerves and heart, it supports in stressful situations and contributes to a restful sleep. An all-rounder and indispensable companion in everyday life!

ASTROLOGY

Amethyst is the astrological birthstone of Capricorn in the first Decan (December 22nd - 31st).

It supports the Capricorn in its typically sober way of thinking and at the same time ensures that its ideas are implemented creatively by stimulating the Capricorn's imagination.

IMPORTANT

You should only charge the amethyst itself in the moonlight, as it can gradually fade from sunlight.

In order to make it receptive to new energies, you can rinse it under clear water for two to three minutes - like many other stones. Of course, this is not so easy with large geodes, so unloading is not a must. The amethyst can easily clean itself through its tips.

For its full energetic development, you wear the amethyst directly on the skin as a pendant or hand flatterer. If you have trouble sleeping, just put it under your pillow or on your bedside table.
